Well it was great to be home and go to sleep to the sound of Mississippi crickets instead of guards blowing whistles every 30 minutes. Also good to have a hot shower, eat real BBQ and American Mexican food with the family, drive my car, sleep in my own bed, and soak up some sun. What is up with this hotness?! And I thought I couldn’t breathe in Ecuador with the altitude. Also, important side note…within the three weeks I was gone Sonic no longer carries frito chili cheese pies, or anything with fritos…por que?! Now I’m trying to control myself with all the good food surrounding me here in Nashvegas! Can’t wait to try new churches and start my clinical fellowship! I’ll be working in 3 different schools here in the Nashville metro area.
Lots of new beginnings! It was so hard to say goodbye to my best friend and her hubbie but I’m so thankful for how they are being used. They leave for China for at least a year on Monday! Also said bye to sweet little Mae who I won’t see for a while. Everything is happening so fast!!! Praise God for his sovereignty over our lives no matter what season!
